Every once in a while I get a phone call that turns into something really fun.
Yesterday, a new client named Kareem found me through Google Maps and called needing a last-minute photoshoot. His original photographer had just bailed, he was flying out soon, and he needed high-end content for his brand that same day.
The location?
The Air 7 hangar in Camarillo, California, complete with a beautiful private jet and a black Maybach Mercedes-Benz SUV he’d rented on Turo while in town for work.
Melissa and I grabbed our gear and headed straight over.
Turning a 30-Minute Window into a Full Luxury Story
Because Kareem was on a tight schedule, we treated this like a mini production:
I brought a full portable studio setup – off-camera flashes, stands, and modifiers – so we could shape the light instead of fighting the hangar lighting.
Melissa assisted with lighting, posing, and making sure every frame felt clean and intentional.
We mapped out a fast flow that would still tell a complete story: inside the jet → on the stairs → on the tarmac → with the Maybach.
In just 30 minutes, we created a full set of images Kareem can use across Instagram, brand partnerships, and future campaigns.
Inside the Private Jet
We started in the cabin to capture that “in-flight CEO” energy:
Kareem seated comfortably with his laptop open, as if he were working mid-flight.
Casual lifestyle moments with a drink in hand, relaxed but focused.
Portraits showcasing the leather seating, rich wood tones, and soft directional lighting we created with flash.
The goal was to make it feel like a real slice of his lifestyle, not a stiff posed shoot.
Jet Stairs & Hangar Walk-Ups
From there we moved outside to the stairs of the jet:
Hero shots of Kareem stepping off the plane, as if just landing in California for an important meeting.
Full-body portraits on the staircase with the jet in the background.
Clean, editorial frames of him standing on the hangar floor, with the aircraft filling the composition.
These images are perfect for announcing arrivals, launches, or big moves on social media.
Maybach x Private Jet Combo
To finish, we brought in the Maybach:
Wide shots of Kareem standing between the Mercedes-Benz Maybach SUV and the jet, creating a powerful, aspirational look.
Walking shots in front of the car and plane for motion and variety.
Phone-call lifestyle shots inside the Maybach, framed by the car windows and polished surfaces.
The combination of the jet, hangar, and Maybach gave us a complete luxury branding set in a very short amount of time.
Same-Day Delivery
Because Kareem is a social media influencer and needed content quickly, I delivered the edited gallery the same day.
From the moment he called me off Google Maps to receiving his final images was less than 24 hours – exactly what he needed after his original photographer canceled.
Huge shout-out to Matthew at Air 7, who was incredibly friendly and helpful while we worked in the hangar.
